Landscape (Paysage) 4F (33.3 x 24.2 cm) by Katsunobu Teshirogi
This abstract painting conveys a sense of landscape through a combination of shapes and colors.
The screen is dominated by a bold red hue, with small squares of green, blue and orange scattered across it.
The colors are applied thickly in some areas and thinly in others, giving the work shadows and depth. Although the overall composition is very simple, the work allows the viewer to imagine different landscapes.
The painting is an attempt to explore the balance between abstraction and figuration, reinterpreting the visual vocabulary through a powerful language of colour and form.
